Hillsborough is an English country house-style hotel on the Hang Dong–Samoeng road, built in brick and timber with lawns and flowerbeds. Its Hillsborough Cafe serves breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea in the daytime, with sandwiches, salmon steak, tea and coffee; Grandma's Restaurant covers Thai and international meals. Pets are welcome in the café, and there's outdoor seating. It's a pleasant, slightly surreal stop on a drive up to Samoeng.
