Nigiwai Sushi is a Kyoto-inspired Japanese restaurant in Mae Hia, close to the fresh market south-west of town. The menu covers sashimi, nigiri and rolls, salmon rice bowls and braised salmon head, which is the dish I'd look out for. It's a local neighbourhood sushi place rather than a destination. It's worth knowing if you live out this way or are visiting the market. It's open from lunch through dinner.
