VT Namnueng is a big, long-running Vietnamese restaurant on the Chiang Mai–Lamphun Road, just across the Ping from Warorot. The dish is in the name: nam nueang, grilled pork sausage that you roll yourself in rice paper with herbs, green banana, star fruit and a thick dipping sauce. Spring rolls and pho are also on the menu. Upstairs is air-conditioned with a view of the river. It's casual, quick and good for a group.
