Sadoet Choetchai is a Thai restaurant and live-music bar on the 700th Anniversary Road in Mae Hia, south-west of the city. Bands play and DJs follow, with cheap Thai food to share and a young local crowd. It's the kind of big, loud, fun Thai night out that's hard to find in the tourist areas. It gets busy later in the evening. It opens at 6pm and runs past midnight.
