Chiang Mai Night Bazaar

Tha Phae & Night Bazaar · Tha Phae / Night Bazaar

About

The Night Bazaar is the city's long-running nightly souvenir strip along Chang Khlan Road, east of the Old City, and it's best taken for what it is: a tourist market, not a local one. Expect rows of clothes, elephant pants, wood carvings, silver and textiles, plus the Kalare and Anusarn areas just off the main road with food courts, seafood and massage. Prices start high, so look around before you buy and bargain politely. If you want handmade or local, the weekend walking streets and markets like Jing Jai are better. If you want an easy evening wander with dinner near the river, this does the job.
