Coconut Market

Chotana & Mae Jo Rd · Chang Phueak North / Mae Jo road

About

Coconut Market (Kad Ba Pao) is a weekend market in Fa Ham, just north-east of the city, set in a neatly kept coconut grove with a narrow canal running between the rows of palms. That setting is the point; it feels nothing like a car-park market. Stalls lean towards handmade crafts, local snacks, traditional ice cream and a few cafés, there's live music, and a small farm corner with goats keeps kids busy. Burnt coconut water is the drink everyone mentions. Come mid-morning, because by early afternoon a lot of the food has already sold out.
