Mae Hia · Mae Hia / Rajapruek

About

Royal Park Rajapruek in Mae Hia is the landscaped park built for the Royal Flora Ratchaphruek, the international horticultural expo held here in 2006–07 in honour of King Bhumibol, which drew nearly 3.8 million visitors. Today it's a large landscaped garden with flower displays, with the Ho Kham Luang, a grand Lanna-style royal pavilion, as its centrepiece. It's spread out, so take the free tram if it's hot, and it sits right next to the Night Safari, so the two pair easily.
