Chao Chao ('morning, morning') is a cosy breakfast and brunch place on Siri Mangkalajarn Soi 1, at the Nimman end of town. The menu blends Thai and Japanese mornings: Japanese-style congee with sea bass, patongko doughnuts, rice bowls and Dutch pancakes, including one with Parma ham and mozzarella. It's cash only. Queues build around 9–10am, so I'd come early or after 11.
