The Booksmith is a calm, bright independent bookshop on Nimman Soi 5. It specialises in art, design, architecture, photography and lifestyle titles in English and Thai. Most of the stock is imported, so it costs a bit more than a chain store, but the selection is genuinely curated and fun to browse. There's a reading corner with coffee. It's a good rainy-afternoon stop, and there's a second branch at the airport.
