Mae Taeng Pine Forest

Mae Taeng

About

Suan Son Mae Taeng is a state seed orchard for two-needle pines, planted in neat rows over 27 rai beside Highway 107 in Inthakhin, Mae Taeng. The straight lines of tall pines make it a popular photo stop with Thai visitors, and it's a quiet place to sit in the shade or have a picnic. Entry and parking are free. It's right on the main road north, so it's an easy break on the way to Chiang Dao or the Mae Taeng tea and coffee spots. Treat it as a short stop, not a destination.
