Kan Phochana is a busy breakfast shop on Sirorot Road in the Suan Dok area, known for khao tom haeng: 'dry' rice soup, with the broth served on the side and the bowl piled with pork, offal and crispy pork. There's also a version with an onsen egg, along with bone soup and khanom jeeb dumplings. It's a local favourite with lots of reviews, so expect a crowd in the morning. Hours have changed over time, so check before an afternoon visit.
