Siam River Adventures

This is the base camp for Siam River Adventures, one of the established whitewater rafting and kayaking outfits, in Sop Kai village up in the Mae Taeng valley, about 90 minutes north of Chiang Mai. Most people just pass through on a full-day Mae Taeng rafting trip, but you can also stay overnight at the camp and its jungle homestay if you're on one of their activities. The overnight stay is cheap and includes meals and transfers. Rafting depends on river levels, so ask about conditions when you book.
